Libary BlogsCheckout our blogs "Eclipse Tips" and "Joy of Programming". | This was presented in the Eclipse Demo Camp, Bangalore on 10th Dec 2007. GEF is usually one day course. The challenge was to cut it short into one hour presentation. Initially it was decided that a bare minimum GEF editor would be presented and the features will be added one-by-one to get to the Shapes editor. But after the number of presenters increased, this was the time was cut short into 15 mins. So the crash course was redesigned to give a small intro, so the new comers can connect the dots between the basic building blocks of GEF. The following movie is interactive (click to start) You would need QuickTime plugin to view it. Google Web Toolkit is a new way of doing AJAX. This is a small tutorial to get you started with the Google Web Toolkit. A C++ programmer cannot jump right into programming in C# just by knowing the syntax. The reason is that these two languages differ largely in design, even though they are syntactically similar. This change in design makes the language transition from C++ to C# a harder one. There are many cases where existing code in C++ needs to be converted to C#. This case study is designed to help make the shift as smooth as possible. Comparing C, C++, Java and C#: Sometime in 2001, Prakash and Ganesh started a discussion group called "C++ Advanced Users" for discussing and learning the features of C, C++, Java and C# (Yes, we were into C# right from its inception) The newsletters they posted to the group is archived here. |
